Energy saving lamp with 600 lumens "Lumen" (lumens per watt) is the unit of luminous flux. This refers to emit all the light, the energy-saving lamps, bulbs or LEDs. The more lumens has a lamp, the brighter it shines and the more electricity it consumes. LED bulbs and energy saving light bulbs achieve higher lumen numbers than incandescent bulbs while consuming less fuel. A classic 40-watt incandescent bulb produces 415 lumens. In order to achieve comparable brightness at an energy-saving lamp, you need an energy saving lamp with only 9 watts. The (rounded) Lumen number you see next to the specified wattage to packages of energy saving lamps (see picture).
