The organization's headquarters was donated to students in 1942 by then President Getúlio Vargas. Until the 1964 coup, the address was important stage national struggles as the campaign "The Oil is Ours", which preceded the creation of Petrobras. It was there also that, in the 60s, Vianinha, Gullar, Carlos Diegues, together with other artists and intellectuals founded the CPC of UNE, reference to the student cultural movement. After its demolition in the 80s, the land was invaded by an underground parking.
