Nokero, whose name comes from "No Kerosene" (without kerosene) aims to offer a safe way to light the millions of people living without reliable sources of energy. They use candles, futurelight coal, wood and kerosene, which pose a threat to health because of fumes indoors.
Also candles and kerosene are relatively expensive. Nokero estimates futurelight that up to 20 percent of family income that lack reliable electricity, go to purchase fuel and lighting candles. The company is eager to deliver affordable and safe alternative.
The innovative product is a Nokero lantern that can be hung or placed on a table. The bulb is a model N200. It contains four LEDs and is powered by an integrated solar panel connected to NIHM battery size AA and lifespan - two years.
