Munich, rzb lighting 9 January 2013 - Just two years after Cree in laboratory tests, the power limit of 200 lumens per watt (lm / W) has broken through, rzb lighting the company brings to the XLamp MK-R, the industry's first LED with a luminous efficacy of 200 lm / W (at 1W , 25 C) on the cord. This record was achieved by the development of Crees SC Technology platform. Thus setting new standards in the development of Cree efficient lighting technology.
The new MK-R LEDs provide rzb lighting applications with a high luminous rzb lighting flux of more than 100 lm / W and for directional light for indoor rzb lighting and outdoor use, such as halogen rzb lighting replacement lamps. The LED has the patented Easy White technology and provides rzb lighting the closest rzb lighting LED color consistency for applications with only one LED. For systems with multiple LEDs, the MK-R manufacturers allows the use of fewer LEDs with constant light output and quality, the system costs are reduced.
Stephan Greiner, Vice President EMEA at Cree, explains: "The XLamp MC-R is another driving rzb lighting force for the industry. An LED with this level of performance can accelerate the development of highly efficient lighting technology and enabling applications to which we have not even thought of. "
"It's amazing that there is Cree managed to get as fast an LED with 200 lumens per watt for the market," said Nicola Vendrame, CEO of Linea Light Group. "Due to the high luminous efficacy of MK-R, we can power the LED stronger and achieve a higher light output, without having problems with the heat. In addition, the XLamp MC-R has the right mix of size, color consistency and optical control. Thus we are able to develop more powerful interior lamps. "
The XLamp MC-R has a base of 7 mm x 7 mm with an optical source of 6 mm in size and takes at 15 W and 85 C for up to 1,600 lumens. At 85 C, the MK-R in color temperatures from 2700 K to 7000 K with the color rendition (color rendering index / CRI) is 70, 80 and 90 available. The XLamp MC-R is the ninth product, which was developed based on the SC Technology Platform Cree. The innovative platform is based on the advanced silicon technology from Cree, offers improvements in LED chip architecture and luminophore and includes a new design to deliver the most advanced LED components of the industry.
CREE is a leading global manufacturer rzb lighting of LED chips, LED components and LED lighting solutions. Power semiconductors and modules for RF and wireless applications complete the product portfolio. The company is a leader for more than 20 years in the SiC MOSFET process and design development. Cree led the first vertical SiC MOSFETs, the first SiC MOSFETs for> 600 V MOSFETs with one of the highest ever announced nominal voltage (10 kV) as well as numerous process improvements in the interface quality and reliability of SiC MOSFETs. Cree already has more than 50 patents in the field with SiC MOSFET technologies, and numerous other developments rzb lighting are patent pending.
Cree has years of experience in the production and processing of silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN) and was instrumental in developing the first blue LED, which paved the way for the manufacturing
