News In March, Philips won the B2B Marketing Award with their campaign around the advanced LED lighting, Philips Lighting reported to the National Museum under the title "New Light on Old Masters. What has winning the B2B Marketing Award Philips? "I've gotten that question often and I find it not easy to answer. One of the reasons to submit a case was that I found that the self-consciousness of my best marketing team could be drawn at a higher level. Philips is not immediately known as a marketing company, while we have made it many steps with more success cases. Because we had such a successful project with the Rijksmuseum, which we were very proud, I saw a great opportunity. Winning has also contributed positively to recruit new people - a piece of employer branding. What are the responses that you have received? "We have never had to complain about visibility in the Benelux, but I think that winning this award has certainly provided an additional positive lucalox boost."
What made you overcome? "Besides the fact that our case contains innovative elements such as storytelling and social media, I believe that our hard targets and measurable results have ensured that we won. For these objectives were also asked to submit the case. Our results were that spectacular, with a very limited budget, we have managed to make light of the main topic at the reopening of the Rijksmuseum. In addition to the focus on LED lighting lucalox we know Philips position as the orchestrator of large and complex lighting projects. Widely we have achieved all the national media and journals and an altered perception put down a challenging target group of architects. That the commercial objectives and outcome were met may finally be no surprise.

But our theme, storytelling, I still have much chance because it remains a wonderful marketing tool. I myself would like to see case studies on innovative marketing automation, something like gamification and perhaps successful social media campaigns in B2B. "
